Problem Statement

  • The need to switch between different platforms for generating and editing visuals leads to a fragmented and time-consuming workflow.

  • Having to upload and download content over and over again is a hassle and interrupts the creative flow.

  • Professional graphic design services can be expensive, making high-quality visual content creation unaffordable for small businesses and individuals.

  • Most users don't have the design skills needed to make high-quality images from text. And many tools out there are just too hard to figure out if you're not a designer.

  • AI Model accuracy was not up to the level which excites users to create more often. Due to which users are not willing to subscribe to premium services or become a pro member.

Goals

  • Simplify Visual Content Creation: Develop an intuitive, user-friendly interface that allows users to generate professional-quality images from text with ease, regardless of their design experience.

  • Streamline Workflow: Integrate image generation directly within the article or content creation process, eliminating the need to switch between multiple platforms. Enable users to create and insert visuals seamlessly without the hassle of uploading or downloading content.

  • Improve Engagement and Communication: Enable users to create visually appealing content that enhances communication and effectively engages their audience. Facilitate the creation of compelling visuals that are more likely to be shared and appreciated on social media and other platforms.

  • Optimize Image Creation Workflow: Enhance the image creation process to make it faster and more efficient, allowing users to generate high-quality artwork with minimal effort.

  • Regenerate Option: If users don't like the generated image, they should have the option to regenerate that specific prompt instead of starting the whole process over again.

Target audience

Users who are looking for a way to enhance their written work, stories, etc. using visually captivating images.

  • Authors and Novelists: Writers who work on long-form fiction or non-fiction projects.

  • Online Platform Contributors: Writers contributing to online platforms, forums, and communities.

Research methods

To gather valuable insights and inform the development of Visualise AI for writers and creators, various research methods were employed. Some research methods:

  • Interviews with Creators: Holding one-on-one interviews with writers, comic creators, and storytellers to delve deeper into their creative processes, pain points, and aspirations regarding visual elements.

  • Competitor Analysis: Analyzing existing tools and platforms catering to writers and creators to identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in the market that Visualise AI can address.

  • Focus Groups: Organizing focus group discussions with representatives from the target audience to gather collective insights, opinions, and collaborative ideas.

  • Analytics and Usage Data: Utilizing our analytics tools within our existing platform to collect data on how users interact.

  • Usability Testing: Conducting usability testing sessions with representative users to evaluate the ease of use, effectiveness, and overall user experience of Picto AI. Observing how users navigate the platform, create visual content, and interact with features helps identify areas for improvement.

  • Pilot Testing Test the feature with a small group of creators before full rollout.

Wireframes & User journey

When we created the wireframes for Visualise AI, we focused on mapping out how users would navigate through the editor and use this feature, from creating and adding those images into their writing interface. We included notes and questions along the way to encourage collaboration and address any user concerns.

Visual Designs

We collaborated in a fast-paced environment, iterating swiftly alongside co-founders and the engineering team to develop a high-fidelity prototype. In addition to visuals, I took on the task of coding HTML, SCSS, and some JS.

Tutorial Prompt

When the user enters the Editor (writing interface), they see a prompt guiding them on how to create an image from text using AI.
